NPR Interviews David Blight and Ruth Washington

[Hat-Tip to Tim Greenman]

Today’s Fresh Air (NPR) featured an interview with David Blight about his new book, A Slave No More, which includes two slave narratives written by John Washington and Wallace Turnage.  NPR also interviewed John Washington’s descendants: granddaughter Ruth Washington, great-granddaughter Barbara Anne Hinksman, and great-great-granddaughter Maureen Ramos.
