    That is a fantastic movie. One of my favorite silents. The music in it is great too.

    I loved that movie. Keaton used a network of narrow gauge tracks in the Oregon woods, laid down by timber companies. His soldier extras are members of the Oregon Nationa Guard.

    In terms of memory, the Civil War was roughly as distant to Keaton as World War II is to us.
