Segregation Comic Book

[Hat-Tip to Jeremy Boggs]

01
This comic book was commissioned by George Wallace during his bid for the governorship of Alabama.  Flip through and you will notice that not one black face is included.  This could easily be used as a primary source in the classroom.  Check out the other comic books in the collection

I am definitely going to use this in class and I agree that it is indeed relatively tame.

Great find, and a terrific source for the classroom. I must say, though, I was pretty surprised by the content–fairly tame by Wallace standards. Except for a few references to segregation and the “meddling NAACP,” it mostly highlights his populist appeal. Very interesting.
