Looks like that big-ass Confederate flag is now flying high above Interstates 10 and 4 in Florida. But don’t get too excited about this high-profile example of Southern Pride and Heritage because this flag was not born from the belly of the “Old South.” It would be nice to think that the kind ladies from the United Daughters of the Confederacy sewed their loving memories of Bobby Lee into the flag or that the job was given to one of the suffering textile mills that once dotted the South.
Sorry, it turns out that this flag was made in China and I’m not even sure it was southern China.
According to the Fla SVC the American Flag maker they wanted to use backed out because their Union threw a fit about it. Sorry I spent 30 minutes trying to find the link to the article but no luck.
The SCV is opposed to Unions of all types.
I’m not offended by the flag at all, I just find the story to be funny and just a bit hypocritical.
What offends you more, the flag, size, or where it was made?
If you don’t like it, look away.
(pssssst, Kevin, the commies are said to utilize “slave labor” for a certain amount of their manufacturing…hey I’m just saying, shhhhh.)
