Civil War Reenacting Meets American Idol

Things have been a bit slow around here this week owing to the amount of time I’ve spent preparing our house to be sold.  I have to say that it was at times difficult going through my library and making the tough decisions as to what to keep and what to discard.

One of my readers tipped me off to this video from the 2011 auditions for “American Idol.”

Thanks for posting that – I think.
A definite Thank you for the Gary Gallagher video. I finally got around to watching it last weekend.

Well, Mr. Nathaniel Jones, you lost. Defeated by the Confederates!
3 forces of entertainment joined for a common purpose – to vote you out!
And ironically, all 3 were drinking from a cup, whose logo bore a trademark
representing a beverage made famous by a Confederate Soldier
