Disrespecting the Colors

I think I finally understand what flag advocates are getting at when they refer to discrimination against and hatred directed at the display of the Confederate flag.  Let’s see the officials at the VMFA stand up to this guy. Note, this video contains profanity.

Uh, no, you don’t understand any such thing. You understand doing whatever it takes to insult Southern heritage advocates, like posting this video, which has nothing whatever to do with the VMFA — or with Southern heritage.

I do find it interesting that the video shows up here on the very day a link to it shows up in my blog comments — from Corey Meyer. I guess now he’ll be less upset about being left out of the Big-Three-Floggers content-sharing loop…

After seeing the logo on the wall near the end of the video, I did a little sleuthing. So, you and Corey are fans of Juggallo Championship Wrestling, are you? You know it’s headquartered in Novi, Michigan, don’t you? Not exactly a Southern city….

My research on the video continues. I’ll be sure and keep you informed….

      Hi Connie,

I haven’t been by your site today so it is simply a coincidence. I have a number of RSS feeds and this one showed up earlier today. This is the first I’ve heard of Juggallo Wrestling, but I was a huge fan of the WWF when I was a kid. Finally, thanks for following up on the research end of things.

        I have no life….

The wrestler’s name is Tracy Smothers. His birth place is Atlanta, Georgia. Smothers wrestled in numerous organizations throughout his career. He even rose to the top making appearances in the WCW and WWF. He was primarily a “jobber” in the latter but he received some fame in the WCW. He was a part of a Tag Team group known as “The Southern Boys.” Throughout his career, Smothers portrayed a stereotyped Southerner for the most part.

Kevin, I felt you would enjoy this video of….The Southern Boys.
