Searching for Black Confederates: The Civil War’s Most Persistent Myth
“Levin’s study is the first of its kind to blueprint and then debunk the mythology of enslaved African Americans who allegedly served voluntarily in behalf of the Confederacy.”–Journal of Southern History
What a beautiful post! Citizens indeed.
For that matter, the general public doesn’t seem to know it is.
Here in the great state of Texas, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is also Texas Confederate Heroes Day.
Mercifully no one seems to celebrate the day that way, at least publicly.
Excellent joining of only one word with imagery! Well done, Kevin.
