Interview With Lincoln Impersonator

I think we need to lighten things up a little around here.  This is a funny, but interesting little interview with a Lincoln impersonator.  You can also read this recent piece on Daniel G. Storck in the Washington Post.

I like the fact that he really has the necessary height and build and not just a craggy face with a beard.

Historical impersonators are often poor history (as a recent Lee impersonator profiled here shows), but we have a Lincoln impersonator here in our RT—Fred Priebe—and he does a good job and is serious about what he does. I am occasionally taken aback by things he doesn't know; for example, he has only recently discovered DiLorenzo!

I've seen some good ones as well. Probably a good thing that he only recently discovered DiLorenzo. I have to say he does an excellent job of impersonating a Lincoln historian.

Best line by far: “'cause I didn't marry Abraham Lincoln 30 years ago. I married….Frank Zappa.”
