Civil War Newspapers: University of Richmond and Tufts University IMLS Grant
In September 2003 the University of Richmond was awareded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services to digitze a collection of Civil War newspapers. They include the Richmond Dispatch, The Liberator, and The Ledger. Since the project is in the early stages at this point you can only browse/search 10 items. Bookmark the site and check back regularly as this will clearly be an important research tool once the project is completed.
