in Civil War Sesquicentennial

How about in October 2009 on the anniversary of John Brown’s raid at Harpers Ferry?

Gee, it seems logical enough to me. Is Harper’s Ferry planning anything at this point?

Over here in Missouri we should have begun last year, remembering the outbreak of violence in Bleeding Kansas. Of course we did not.

Andrew, — I’m not sure what HP has planned at this point. The reason I asked is because the question/suggestion came up last week at the Va. Sesquicentennial meeting. The question of when to begin will no doubt set the tone as to the way in which the Civil War will be remembered.
