    Political correctness meets political expediency.
The plot to this story was written in Missouri, circa 2003. Texas followed the script
    just like a Shakesperian Actor

Yeah, we all know the Texas Dept of Transportation went from a 4-4 deadlock to a 9-0 rejection when the Rickster wanted to pump some air into his deflated campaign. The word came down to his appointees that y’all had better bury this issue quick cuz Rep Shelia Jackson Lee (Heroine of the UDC Logo slaying) and Progressive Texas (recipients of George Soros $$$) are just beating me up real bad, on an issue where those who support Jax-Lee and Progressive Texas wouldnt vote for me anyway, but just looky how many PC brownie points I will make with MSNBC!

Been there done that. Goodbye on your campaign bid Mr Perry. You were not going to win anyway, but Scalawagism is just plain vile, and voters hate it.

Just like Rep Richard Gephardt, Presidential Candidate (I sense a pattern here) in 2003. He stated in South Carolina, in a “I can top ALL Confederate Flag bashers” sort of way “My own personal feeling is that the Confederate flag no longer has a place flying any time, anywhere in our great nation.”

Oh what a beautiful soundbyte for CNN! Who’s da man? Dick is!
But oops, Mr Gephardt seemed unaware that in his own state at Fort Davidson Historic Site and Higginsville, those very flags flew over Confederate Graves in a Confederate Cemetery.

“Aw man, I sure look stupid,” said Dick. “Hey – I know – give me the phone!” he exclaimed.
“Bob” (then gov of Missouri Bob Holden) “You gotta save my failing campaign FAST, yank those CBFs off the graveyards ASAP! I gotta look good for PeeCee! ”

Gov Bob had the flags down before weeks end.

The beautiful ending to the Missouri saga – Dick Gephardt lost the nomination, Gov Bob Holden lost reelection. And just as the script dictates, Texas Gov Perry is gonna lose his nomination.

The Texas SCV plates will be won, in court, most likely with help from the Rutherfod Institute
and Taxpayers of Texas will not blame the most directly involved in the loss of state funds while they protest a losing effort – the Dynamic Duo of Perry and Jax Lee!

As a citizen of Missouri who has reason to be close to certain political “pulses,” I can assure you that “One Term Bob’s” loss had *nothing* to do with any stance of his on that flag. Or to put it another way, capitulation to cbf boosters would in no way have saved his governorship. He was too disliked, for too many reasons, by too many camps, including the ones you label with that tired, misused and over-used term, “PC.” Y’all really need some new material.

        Michael,
Didnt say it was the sole reason Dick and Bob got hit with the doorknob on the way out, but it was an accumilative factor. The Texas SCV plate wont be the thing that ends Perrys dreams, but it will be one of those straws on that camels back.

PC played in both flag bash episodes, but he SCV plate saw a new enemy – George Soros and Progessive marxists.

Hey! How about the US getting banned from the Cali school for 5th of May!
Love those marxists. That Communist Manifesto is working right on schedule!

I thought the enemy is “PC Fascists”. I can’t keep track.
