"In this stunning and well-researched book, Kevin Levin catches the new waves of the study of memory, black soldiers, and the darker underside of the Civil War as well as anyone has... Levin is both superb scholar and public historian, showing us a piece of the real war that does now get into the books, as well as into site interpretation."

Congratulations to you both.
You’re grappling way out of your weight class.
Don’t think that I don’t know it.
Happy Anniversary to you both!
Ya done good, Kevin!
Sincerely,
Neil
Or as it also can be said “Dude! You outpunted your coverage!!”
Well done, sir, well done.
But I have to disagree about one point….I married the most beautiful woman in the world 23 years ago!
Sincerely, congratulations to you both.
Congratulations to both of you. Having a soulmate is an important part of a happy and produtive life.
Jersey has beaches? Not covered by boardwalks and oil tanks?
Oh, and congratulations. Just to continue what seems to be a theme here, I would say you definitely “married up”. (How drunk did you have to get her before she said “yes”?)
I must have married the only German that doesn’t drink alcohol.
Congrats! – TL
May you have many more.
Actually, the fact that she married you while you were still in grad school should be grounds for sainthood. My better half actually encouraged me to go back, so there’s plenty of blame to go around in our case…
Definite Slackenerny and Jen material…
All the best to you both,
Thanks. Actually, I was gainfully employed at that time. I went back while teaching for a second masters degree.
Better give her the book dedication!
Done.
congratulations! may you two have many ore than 10 happy years together.
Thanks again everyone for the kind words. We had a great weekend.
Thank you, Kevin! Yes, you charmed me and yes, I am the only German I know that does not drink; ) Thank you for the most wonderful 10 years!
Michaela,
Glad you saw fit to make an honest man of him!
May you have many more wonderful years together.
Sincerely,
Neil
