Modern Day Secessionists Will Need An Army

From Mark Vogl:

Back on June 28th, 2012 an article here at Nolan Chart reported that the Confederate War College established a clock to help illustrate whether the environment within the United States was favorable to the idea of states seceding from the Union. The original setting of the clock was 6 Pm, the point furthest from twelve o’clock. This setting was to be the starting point, and it was stated that the clock was originally set as far away from twelve as is possible.  [Read the rest of the article.]

The Confederate War College cites a number of reasons why it might be time to reset the clock, but there is little talk about what happens afterward.  Luckily, General Charles Goodson of the New Confederate Army is waiting in the wings.

Hahahahaha….THAT made my Monday. For someone so opposed to just “flagging”, I’m pretty sure all he just did was “flag”. Although, he did say at one point he wanted to rally around the “banner”….Maybe “bannering” IS good enough.

Are there any other countries which treated the losers in a civil war as, well, civilly as we did?

Does Britain still have Royalists plotting the overthrow of the Parliamentarians? (Well, okay, Ireland’s issues can be traced back to the 3rd civil war, but you know what I mean)

Why is Richmond littered with the statues of the guys who lost?

Why is one of the roads leading into DC named after the head of the Confederate army?

They lost: they need to get over it.

The cigarette is my favorite part.

Folks like the General just kill me. Bummer has a tendency to occasionally shoot himself in the foot, but most of the time he keeps from filming it and hopefully below the radar. This New Army of the Confederacy really concerns me. He speaks of Southern Heritage as a major player in a rebellion of action, not flag waving. What type of action is he endorsing? Is this just the lunatic fringe? Not being paranoid, but Bummer knows that authorities take a hard look at people like the General every day. The ramblings of kook? “Talk the Talk” often enough and General Charles will soon know.

He spends the first part of the video trying to distinguish his effort from that of other groups who don’t do anything. Then he reveals his big plan, which is to avoid doing anything until the spring, at which time he will most assuredly do. . .well, something. No specifics beyond that, except for the part where we’re supposed to send him money. If this is what passes for strategy in the New Confederate Army, then it’s not going to last as long as the old one did.

Michael, it really does make sense, because in the winter there’s little forage, and the you get the snow melt and the spring rain, which makes roads impass. . . yeah, I got nothin’.
