Same here, but I just can’t stand the obscure references.
I hope Dimitri forgives me, I’ve learned a lot from his blog but still in the end, I couldn’t resist an attempt at humor. Perhaps the 3 AM tornado sirens have left me giddy.
Very good Ken. You are in rare form today.
Kevin: It would actually make sense if the link went to the AP story you cite, as Rawls responds to a comment you made to Szkotak. So the question becomes, which Centennialist tampered with the link:
(a) James McPherson
(b) Doris Kearns Goodwin
(c) Abraham Lincoln’s ghost
(d) James McPherson
BONUS: Explain why George McClellan would have preserved the correct link for all Americans:
Phil, — I assume he is referring to the AP story on the MOC, but I don’t see where they are responding to my comments. Interestingly, D failed to link to the article itself.
Anyway, I will make sure to pass the next reporter onto him if they are interested in the fictional school of “Centennialism”.
Hearty LOL! Kevin, surely you know by now – does anyone ever know what the hell Dimitri Rotov’s talking about? Recall Benjamin Franklin’s comment about John Adams – “An honest man, often a wise one, but sometimes absolutely out of his senses.”
Great posts over the last month with the Peter Carmichael essay and Discussion Forum No. 1. Keep up the great work, and best of everything for the upcoming school year.
